Preparing for Book One

Spoken word poetry is special in that its barrier to entry doesn’t require a book deal, a publisher, or navigating publishing. As spoken word artists, our spaces are mostly free or inexpensive. And our stages are yours to command—and you must command them or surrender to them.

Audiences know my presence, sound, and voice. As I embark on the next step, publishing, I’m inviting patrons to learn how they can invest in my first published project. It will not disappoint
